The 3Com Switch S7900E Family is a premium modular Layer 2/3 enterprise switching platform designed for 7x24x365 availability, high performance, and long term investment protection. A highly resilient and scalable architecture ensures virtually non-stop operation and up to 768 Gigabit-per-second capacity for Ethernet switching and routing up to 10-Gigabit speeds. A single chassis supports 24 10-Gigabit ports or 480 Gigabit ports, with optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for added investment protection. Available models include 10-slot, 6-slot, 6-slot vertical, 3-slot and 2-slot configurations – all available with dual load-sharing switch fabrics for high availability and enhanced performance, up to 428 Million packets per second.
